Mr Patel is highly skilled Consultant ENT Head & Neck Surgeon with subspecialist interests in the surgical management of head & neck cancer, thyroid & parathyroid disease, and robotic surgery. He received an academic scholarship at Cambridge University and graduated with first class honours and awards in 2007. Mr Patel carried out surgical training in London and the East of England prior to completing a Royal College of Surgeons fellowship in endocrine surgery in the UK, and an international fellowship in advanced head & neck surgery in Australia. His NHS practice is based at Lister Hospital, where he is the Clinical Director of Operating Theatres and Vice-Chair of the head & neck and thyroid cancer multidisciplinary boards for Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire. He has regular head & neck, general and specialist paediatric ENT theatre lists at Lister Hospital. He lectures on the Cambridge University undergraduate medicine course and supervises students in head & neck anatomy.
