Mr De Roeck joined the Trust as a consultant at in January 2007. He trained on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital programme before undertaking a one-year specialist fellowship in hip and knee replacement at North Shore Hospital, Auckland in 2006.
His practice at the Trust encompasses adult hip and knee surgery. He is interested particularly in adult hip problems, including revision hip surgery and sports hip problems.
The procedures he commonly performs in the trust are hip replacement including the more complicated cases, total and partial knee replacement, revision hip replacement and hip arthroscopy.
He still undertakes trauma surgery although this often focuses on hip problems. He is the Trust’s orthopaedic lead for fractured neck of femur care.
Outside of work he is a keen road cyclist and enjoys cinema and music. He remains a supporter of Sheffield United, despite their fortune.
