At Mount Vernon cancer centre, we have Day Chemotherapy unit as well as In patient Chemotherapy ward. We cover all speciality cancer treatment and cover large area around west London. When Patients are referred to MVCC, pre chemo chat is arranged either in a group or 1:1 at Lynda Jackson Macmillan centre which provides all the details about their regimen, preparations, hospital visits for Blood tests, Clinic appointments and Chemotherapy treatment appointments. Further support provided through complimentary therapy, interpreter facility, hair protection facility and transport facility. Leaflets are given about all these facilities long with diet and cancer support group details.
At Chemotherapy, on the day of treatment, at reception desk, they enter their attendance; wait in the chairs at reception area where short refreshments provided. Named nurse take them to their Chemo chairs, check their observation, blood results, verify their checklists and explain their treatment. Chemo suite is an open lounge with 22 chairs and Nurse bay open to the lounge. Pharmacist and on call Doctor as well as on call Matron are around for help. During treatment, their next blood test and treatment appointments are arranged through ward clerks. Nurses are very friendly and supportive all the time. Their take homes medicines are given by the pharmacist while getting treatment.

Our main base is at Mount Vernon with private inpatients being admitted (where available) into one of our dedicated rooms on Ward 10 and Ward 11. Including the Chemotherapy department.
Outpatient’s clinics are provided at the Chemotherapy Department.
The department is led by a team of well-trained Chemotherapy Nurses, Matron, pharmacist, and supported by a team of junior doctors. Specialist nurses, specialist staff and an administrative team.
