Dr Papageorgiou is a well-rounded Consultant Cardiologist and Heart Rhythm specialist. He works at the Lister Hospital, East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and at the Barts Heart Centre, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the largest cardiac centre in Europe. Dr Papageorgiou is a highly accomplished cardiologist with extensive expertise in clinical practice, research, and academia. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and (PhD) degrees at Athens University Medical School in Greece, followed by specialised training in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology in prestigious centres, such as the Heart Hospital/UCLH and the St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Dr Papageorgiou holds an Honorary Associate Professorship at the University College London (UCL), contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular science and education. He has published >200 papers and he has >100 presentations in international conferences. He has made significant contributions to the understanding and management of cardiovascular diseases. His research endeavors have garnered substantial funding and recognition from prestigious organisations, including the European Society of Cardiology. He performs routinely a wide range of cardiac procedures, including cardiac implantable devices and catheter ablation for arrhythmias aiming to improve patients’ quality of life. Dr Papageorgiou offers consultations both in English and in Greek. He emphasises on lifestyle changes and he is known for his tailored approach, ensuring that his patients are always comfortable with the consultation and actively involved in the treatment process
