Dr Roussin was trained in France and has worked in the UK since 2003. She obtained her MD in 1989 and specialised in cardiology in 1997. She has been on the specialist register in the UK since 2002.
In France, she worked in cardiovascular surgery – which gave her special insight into the required assessment of a patient before and after cardiac surgery.
She is an imaging consultant, specialising in echocardiography and stress echocardiography – as well as cardiac CMR.
Her field of expertise is valvular disease – especially mitral valve disease and its assessment by transthoracic echo TOE, stress echo, aortic valve disease assessment and ischemic heart disease assessment.
She worked in clinical research for two years, assessing cardiomyopathy induced by chemotherapy. She is also in charge of echo training for junior doctors at the Trust.
