Pregnancy ultrasound scanning service
We provide expectant parents with access to specialist consultant-led scanning and personalised guidance and care. We aim to provide reassurance and support throughout pregnancy and access to appropriate specialist assessment where required.
We offer:
- Early pregnancy scan (6 – 12 weeks)
- Second trimester scan (18 – 20 weeks) to check the baby’s development and screen for genetic or other conditions)
- Gender scan (usually 16 to 18 weeks onwards in your pregnancy)
- Cervical length scan (an internal scan to check your risk of premature labour)
At your appointment, you will be given printed copies of your images and a report. If we recommend a follow-up, we can send a copy of your report to your healthcare provider.

Pelvic ultrasound scanning service
To help investigate symptoms, monitor an existing condition or check a specific medical concern we offer a pelvic ultrasound scanning service. A pelvic ultrasound can be used to investigate:
- Heavy periods, irregular bleeding or postmenopausal bleeding
- Unexplained or chronic lower abdominal and pelvic pain
- Fertility issues
- Ovarian cysts or fibroids
- Endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease
